Since my Fisher Price doctor’s kit

Where are you starting your residency?

Nemours Children’s Hospital in Orlando, FL

What made you choose Temple Med?

I’m from Philly, so the location and patient population resonates with me — and the emphasis on community engagement, breadth of clinical experience, as well as the only urban bioethics program in the country.

What is a bioethics issue that you are concerned about currently?

Anti-black racial discrimination and its impact on health and social determinants of health (e.g. education, food, housing, healthcare, income, and safety)

What are you currently watching on Netflix/Prime/Hulu?

All- American

What’s your favorite restaurant in Philly?

Besides the kitchens of my mom and sister, some of my favorite places for a meal are Urban Farmer, El Bohio, and Little Thai Market.

Tell us about your mom.

My mom is my best friend! And also a Temple Owl Temple Law Class of 1988

What are you going to miss most about Temple?

The people! I’ll miss the influence and fellowship with people who have helped me to like, love, and better myself.

The Bible

What music do you listen to while studying?

Songs that validate my emotions and elevate my mood. Shout out to Tasha Cobbs Leonard and Rihanna for being there over the years, as well as various Youtubers who make violin or acoustic guitar covers of pop/hip-hop music. I’m living proof that no matter how many times you fall down the YouTube rabbithole, you can get back up again!
